As of today, I have a brand new home. My house is Happiness. My new address overlooks the Pacific Ocean at 574 Fulfillment Drive, traversing both Blessings Street and Prosperity Avenue, west of Overcoming Place, located in the upscale community called Elevated Heights complete with Health and Well-Being facilities, in the City of Unlimited Potentialities, County of Opportunities, State of Balance, Zip Code 90777, United States of Abundance.
I have moved out from 101 Beggars Avenue, located at the corner of Bleak and Buster Street, just south of Poverty Lane. No longer do I travel along Robbing Peter to Pay Paul Drive. I don’t have to set eyes, any more, on the no way out alley called I Don't Have Point. I no longer pass through Borrowers Boulevard lined with Payday Advance outlets and Can’t Redeem Pawnshops. There is no more hanging out at Failure's Watering Hole on 123 Excuses Avenue at the corner of Procrastination Place. Come to think of it, that was a totally different universe altogether, deserving of no remembrance for being the bad old days: in the City of Lack, County of Constraints, State of Perpetual Crisis, Zip Code 90666, United Strangulation of Potentials.
Each day I am thankful that I'm a product of my new environment. My neighborhood is full of life's finest precepts. Let me introduce you to them: Acting On Faith; Always Being Prepared To Achieve; Being Persistent; Believing I Already Have What I Pray For; Changing Myself Through The Renewal Of My Mind; Conceiving Of Goals For God's Greater Glory Among Humankind; Divine Grace or Unmerited Favor; Forgetting The Past While Straining Towards The Goal; Keeping My Eyes And Focus On Jesus My Savior; Receiving The Redemption Given By Jesus Through His Sacrifice And Accepting His Mercy; Remembering My True Divine Nature From Moment To Moment; Repenting Of My Sins And Staying In The Light And Power Of The Holy Spirit; Sowing and Reaping; Thinking Only On Whatever Is Admirable, Commendable, Excellent, Fair, Good, Just, Lovely, Noble, Praiseworthy, Pure, Right, True and Virtuous; and most importantly, Seeking First The Father's Kingdom And His Righteousness.
I do all my internal growing within this wonderful neighborhood, even as I watch my external physical body run its course in this very short parenthesis of eternity, known as human life happening on this ephemeral, ever-changing, limited, material, largely unpredictable and living-procreating-dying illusory realm of ‘terra firma’.
Meanwhile, God - the Alpha and the Omega - blesses me beyond belief as I fly with Him and in Him through Infinite Possibilities above clouds of doubt and despair, and as I stay deep down in the coolness of His Calm and Peace beneath waves of worry and anxiety.
For I come from Him, and therefore have the same timeless, limitless and changeless nature as He has, just as a drop of seawater has the same saltiness as the entire ocean. And, being At-One-Ment with Him, I live my temporal physical life with eternal perspective, grounded in unfailing Faith, buoyed up with everlasting Hope, and sustained by uncontainable Love…
Life is good because God is good!
